Big Fat Blog

This fat acceptance blog is my new favorite!

Here's what I found out about them from their "About" page -

Big Fat Blog (BFB) was founded in 2000. My original purpose with the blog was to point out just how insanely poorly fat people are portrayed in the media, and the web provided a great vehicle for that. But over time, a community grew organically out of the site. More and more people started commenting, brainstorming, and coming up with ideas progressing the concept of fat acceptance.

This is a really wonderfully written and includes lots of good links, info on fat acceptance, and original material. The presentation is really nice, too, without a lot of bells and whistles to detract from the content.

Excellent blog!

The Advertizing Slogan Generator

This is beyond hilarious!

You but in a word and the Advertising Slogan Generator incorporates it into a catchy slogan. Like most people, I started with a swear word and worked my way around to my name and then some of my favorite concepts (dispair, vendetta, etc.).

Absolutely one of the funniest things on the Internet today.

You Knit What??

This hilarious blog provides scathing commentary on current "styles" in knitted clothing and accessories. The contributers must search far and wide for the most tacky and abhorent patterns to be found in modern knitting pattern books and magazines. Their commentary, while acidic at best, is remarkably lucid and even handed.

Brava!

Subject Index to Literature on Electronic Sources of Information

Anything worth doing is worth overdoing.

From the introduction -

INTRODUCTION

The Subject Index to Literature on Electronic Sources of Information and the accompanying Electronic Sources of Information: A Bibliography deal with all aspects of electronic publishing and include print and non-print materials, periodical articles, monographs and individual chapters in collected works. This edition includes 1,770 titles. Both the Index and the Bibliography are continuously updated.

Please Note: The Index and the Bibliography do not have a search engine at this time, hovewer all pages are word searchable by using the CTRL+F function.

This exhaustive index and its companion bibliography include just about everything written in any format about electronic information. Unfortunately it hasn't been updated in about a year and a half and many of the links I selected at random are no longer valid.

I really can't blame the creators of this site for that, though. Trying to index the Internet and Electronic Resources must be like trying to index moving water.

Good effort!
