Failure of Initiative

That just about sums it up.

Read the Report of the Select Bipartisan Committee to Investigate the Preparation for and Response to Hurricane Katrina and see how everyone fucked up.

My question is this - what next? Fingers have been pointed. Blame has been spread around. But there are still people in New Orleans and other areas in south Louisiana who don't know whether or not they will ever get to go home. Work hasn't even started on the levees, and the state legislature can't even make decisions about the Levee Commissions.

Guess what, folks? Hurricane season officially starts June 1.

EPA Set to Close Library Network and Electronic Catalog
